Until January 1, 2007 Ullerslev municipality was a municipality (Danish: ''kommune'') in the former Funen County, on the east coast of the island of Funen, in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 54 km², and had a total population of 5,151 (2005). Its last mayor was Erik Christensen, a member of the ''Socialdemokraterne'', the Social Democratic Party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ullerslev, with a population of 2,730 (2008). The municipality was created in 1970 as the result of a ''kommunalreform'' ("Municipality Reform") that merged a number of existing parishes: * Ellinge Parish * Flødstrup Parish * Skellerup Parish * Ullerslev Parish Ullerslev municipality ceased to exist as the result of ''Kommunalreformen 2007'' (the Municipality Reform of 2007). It was merged with Nyborg and Ørbæk municipalities to form a new Nyborg municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 278 km² and a total population of 31,009 (2005).
